Working with Pride & Joy ™

I Already Took a Pain Pill, So Why Are You Still Here?

This session focuses on dealing with difficult people - with a lighter touch! It's a value packed breakout session or workshop, in conjunction with Jean's opening or closing keynote. As you know, difficult people can have a major impact on your organization when they undermine your efforts to build a strong and cohesive team. While you may not have the power to change a difficult person, you can easily learn how to deal effectively with them. Jean blends humor with practical strategies you can implement throughout your department and your entire organization to deal with difficult people, reduce conflict and improve both morale and productivity.

Participants will develop skills and competencies to:

  • Understand how difficult people manipulate others to get what they want

  • Discover how we all reward difficult people for their behavior

  • Learn five strategies for dealing effectively with difficult people

  • Master the six A's of handling customer complaints

  • Identify the seven sources of conflict in every workplace

  • Develop strategies to resolve conflict successfully

  • Retain personal accountability for their role in any conflict

  • Reduce the negative attitudes impacting teamwork

  • Recommit to working together as a productive and cohesive team

This session can qualify for CEUs, contact hours and education credits.

"It's rare when an outside speaker can develop instant rapport, but Jean Gatz did it."
