Why did you decide to create and deliver programs for Christian women? A. In my work as a keynote speaker for companies and associations over the past 20 years, I’ve met so many women who are disheartened and discouraged, weary and worn out. Balancing demanding roles and responsibilities, they never have enough time to laugh, relax, and renew themselves in mind, heart and spirit. Even though they heard me speak on business-related topics, some of these women heard something else in my message. As they began to invite me to speak at Christian women’s events, it soon became clear that God had new plans in mind for me! So after much prayer, study and discernment I’ve added another dimension to my keynotes and workshops. While I will continue to work with corporate and association clients, I’m bringing my message of Humor with Heart to Christian women’s conferences, retreats, breakfasts, teas, luncheons and dinners. Q. What programs can we choose from and what’s the time frame for each? A. Depending on what you need, my programs can range from 45-minute luncheon messages to half-day and full-day conferences and retreats. In five different programs I blend my stories with God’s message to help women meet their challenges with faith, wisdom, courage and a sense of humor. I can customize each program or adapt a title to fit the theme of your event. Q. Why is humor such an important part of your message? A. In my work with audiences all across the country, I’ve discovered that once people start laughing, they’re more open to learning. And that’s always a good place to start! So I blend my Christian faith with original stories that create honest-to-goodness laughter to help women renew themselves in mind, body and spirit. Read what women are saying about my message. Q. With what size groups are you comfortable? A. I’ve spoken to groups that range in size from 50 to several thousand. I’m very comfortable with an audience of any size. Q. We’ve had speakers who just didn’t connect with us. How are you different? A. As you know, women want a speaker who can relate to them and their challenges—a speaker who cares. As a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and woman of faith, I connect with women of every age and at every stage of life. Weaving God’s word together with humor and personal life experiences, I affirm women for who they are and what they do. Q. We don’t have a big budget. Can we really afford you? A. I’ve found that each group has a different budget, so I do my best to work with each church and their women’s ministry in whatever way I can. Together we figure out how to make it a success with the budget they have. Q. We’ve never planned an event like this before. Can you help us? A. Absolutely!
