Are You Working Your Plan? (1-20-23)
I was surprised at the large number of responses I received from my January 6 post. Remember… I asked you to make a list of what you want MORE of in your life in this new year.
Many of you listed words like: family, friends, better relationships, happiness, contentment, peace, joy, fulfillment, purpose, grace, spiritual growth, better health, adventure, travel, love, wisdom, freedom and time (to work on some of these words!).
You may have different words on your list. Maybe you’ll add a few more if any of the words above appeal to you.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- Don’t get overwhelmed.
- Prioritize your list. Don’t try to work on everything at once.
- Start with ONE word.
- Write it down.
- Create a plan.
- Start working the plan.
- When that’s done, move on to the next word.
- Give yourself time. Don’t put pressure on yourself.
- Congratulate yourself on your progress.
- Celebrate your success!
Working your plan takes… well… work! It takes thought. But it also takes action! Don’t get stuck in the mode of: “I’m thinking about…” Making positive changes means moving from “thinking” to DOING!
